I know my blog is dead..not anymore!! hehe

Just to recap. I went to ION orchard earlier this week. It was a trip I would never forget. The whole ION concept seems to be a marriage of Takashimaya and Raffles city. If you think about it, the whole store just looks damn posh with countless boutiques which decorate it`s minimalist appeal. I love it the second I entered.

And guess what, my favourite shop of all is ‘Sephora’!! Oh well, it`s not that I am kindda crazy about this whole ’Sasa’ concept that they have. But because they have the biggest collection of skincare brands from all over the world, especially the US. And that`s not counting those brands already present in department stores like Tangs. Talking about Murrad (favorite skincare brand), Biotherm(the current brand I am using), Dr hauschka(German skincare brand) and many more awaiting your frenzied hands.

I haven`t had the luxury of time to explore the upper floors of ION yet! I know I woulnd`t mind visiting the store alone. Then I could feel more carefree. But well, it would be cooler to do so with some cool, fantastic fashion and luxury loving people. Who is going with moi?

Hey peeps, so long never blog about what is happening in our unit recently.

Well, to cut the long story short, we had a cool outing at East Coast park on Sunday.

It was a hot and sunny day in the afternoon and I felt the need to suntan. But too bad, I couldn`t cos I would accidentally stumble the gals if I went with my instict. LOL

Anyway, the water game was the “highlight” of the day. It was the first time I let my inner child in me break free!! I didn`t realise it was actually me going way overboard to throw water bombs at the people I think DESERVE it. LOL

And…..BBQ in the eveing was fun!! I was like OMG!!!! so eggcited about it sia

    (50% done….) will continue soon..

    GTG….

  • SEE IF THERE IS ANY OFFENSIVE WAY IN ME…

marcomarcus 2:18 pm on July 27, 2009 Permalink | Reply

Basic to most conflicts is the tendency to magnify the offenses of others and minimize
your own. Consider these words of Lee Strobel:
“….more often than not, we share part of the blame for pushing a person into the role
of being our enemy. Sometimes it’s our own jealousy, our own stubbornness, our own
ambition, or our own bad attitude that has contributed—at least in part—to the rift between
us…. Few things accelerate the peace process as much as humbly admitting our own
wrongdoing and asking forgiveness. That tells our adversaries that we’re so serious about
dealing honorably with the friction between us that we’re willing to go beyond pride and self
interest to confess that yes, we do own some of the responsibility for the rift.”
Take time to reflect on any “offensive ways” you have brought to the conflict. It might
include some of those things Lee mentioned: jealousy, stubbornness, unhealthy ambition, bad
attitude—or other unhealthy or sinful relating patterns. Putting aside any tendency to be
vague, answer this question as concretely as possible:
I contributed to the conflict in the following specific ways:

  • Forgiveness

marcomarcus 2:15 pm on July 27, 2009 Permalink | Reply

Read Luke 18: 9-14 and then consider this story told by Max Lucado:
“During World War I, a German soldier plunged into an out-of-the-way shell hole.
There he found a wounded enemy. The fallen soldier was soaked with blood and only
minutes from death. Touched by the plight of the man, the German soldier offered him
water. Through this small kindness a bond was developed. The dying man pointed to his
shirt pocket; the German soldier took from it a wallet and removed some family pictures.
He held them so the wounded man could gaze at his loved ones one final time. With
bullets raging over them and war all around them, these two enemies were, but for a few
    moments, friends.
What happened in that shell hole? Did any evil cease? Were all wrongs made
right? No. What happened was simply this: Two enemies saw each other as humans in
need of help. This is forgiveness. Forgiveness begins by rising above the war, looking
beyond the uniform, and choosing to see the other, not as a foe or even as a friend but
simply as a fellow fighter trying to make it home safely.”
    —In the Grip of Grace
What is God saying to you through these passages?

  • My prayer to you

    The prayer

With my God, I can do anything. With my God, I can fight any foe.

I can do all things with my God who gives me strength.

The same power that conquers the grave lives in me.

Your Love that rescued the world lives in me. It lives in me!

I am nothing without you. I am everything with you.

Thank you Father, you who gives me power.

This is my prayer to you.

    HEya …

I am bored at home now.

    All my projects is done.

Meanwhile…enjoy this Mariah`s rendition of “I`ll be there”

Don`t sing this song after the person you love is gone forever. Or dead. Like Michael.

I love it when Mariah sings at the end, “Thank you Jesus..”

Tags: adam and eve, glory of God, narcissistic

Thanks for reading my blog, ppl.

Even though it has been days since I last posted something worth reading, my viewership never seems to be dropping. I am riding the high waves…woooo

For a start, this month I am going to begin writing these things that God has urged me to write. My heart will not feel at peace unless I write these out. Thank you for the enlightenment, LORD.

The prayer meet last nite was great! God empowered me through the seemingly endless prayer request..sometimes I wonder if he ever gets tired listening to us 24/7. If I were Him, I think I would just say, “Go and take care of your own problems once in a while la!” LOL

But God is a good God, amen? Who else on this face of the earth would listen to you 24/7? Not your mum, not your daddy, not your boyfriend, not your girlfriend, not your bestEST friend, not your CL, UL, DL, NOT ANYONE!!

                                                                                          Not even your dog.

Sometimes these people you call your closest ones in your life tend to ignore you, treat you badly, make you wonder if they ever love you at all. Nobody in this earth escapes this wheel of life. They may be your boyfriend, your girlfriend, your close loved one, your parents, but people are narcissistic. And narcissism is in their carnal nature. They are selfish, ego centric, self centred and they only think about themselves most of the time. They care less about other people, let alone people who are not related to them. Or even worse, they don`t see the other person as deserving as they are! Most of the time, the love that we pour out to these people don`t even count much to them. And disappointments and hurts are what we often get in return.

Why is it so difficult to LOVE? Why does loving someone ever have to hurt this bad? Then what`s the point of all these? Why are people like these? It is because of the fallen nature of MAN.

In the beginning, Love made for man was perfect. Love is everywhere for God is love and God is everywhere. Man was never further away from the perfect Love until Adam and Eve became so narcissistic and so full of themselves that with Satan`s deceitful tongue, they ate the apple of the forbidden tree in the garden of Eden. And what was on their mind? have you all ever thought about it?

“I want to be greater, I want to know ALL things good and bad, I want to be like GOD!” This is what flashed across Adam`s mind when he was tempted by the devil. And guess what happened after he ate it………………. Yes, he became aware of such things. He knew all things good and bad. But Man fell at that moment of time. This is a metaphor you all must understand.

Man fell short of the glory of God once they sinned against God. That is logical, isn`t it? But sadly, it is not only that. Man fell short of God`s glory WHEN he became narcissistic. Man fell when he became so FULL of himself. Man fell when he loves himself MORE than he loves others and God.

I pray for all mankind that their eyes will be opened to this truth. So stop thinking of yourself and your convenience!! Think of others for a change!! I promise you that your life will be much better!! And you will stop getting that bouts of flu and sickness you don`t want. God`s love is free for all. You wanna know something?

My love is not that cheap. But it aint expensive too:)

So see how great is our LORD?

    Talk to him..

I hope you don’t mind, but i’ll like to disagree with your essay tt love means everything. perhaps from the very beginning, we do love everything, but then as time grows , and we get disappointed again and again, somehow, its doesn’t make sense to be able to continue tt love. even if u have been one of those whom have been unselfish and have been trying to do so by thinking about other ppl.

its not great to react to tt by being more loving, cause in the end, u just get more disappointed again and again.

hope tt doesn’t make u wanna give up.

Thanks for the insightful comment, Del Lee. Can I know who u r? lol
Anyway, yeah.. u`re not wrong in saying this.
But Love is supposed to be unselfish and not self centred. :) So we as christians should continue to love, but of course, be carefull not to let others that we love take our love for granted. Dun ever let anyone abuse it.
