I feel the sudden need to write this post even though by right I was kindda expected to do so as soon as I finished my last paper.Hehe. Hope everyone has survived this battle which we have bravely fought. We did all we could for the papers and now we can do nothing but to pray for the best. I`ll pray that God will soften these crude and heartless lecturers` hearts in whose hands our grades depend on. LOL. Yes, in this case, our fate, whether we would pass the exams wonderfully well, fail miserably or anything in between lie in their very hands. And this is the hard fact that we have to swallow. All we could do now is pray. Nothing else will work. Not even studying to erase that regretful and “guilty” feeling. I agree with what Ps Jasmine says: “When we are unsure of what to do and what lies ahead, the best solution is praying.”

The next day was service as usual and we celebrated Shuh Fen` s Bday!!! Just wanna say Happy Bday to her here…lol

Last but not least, Good luck to everyone for ur exams…May God bless all of us!! It`s gonna get rough next week…Lets brace ourselves!!!

O Holy Night-Mariah Carey

Christmas is 3 months away and yet I have felt its ever-present magic working on me since as long as January!!! This video below can be said to be my personal favourite. It is the best rendition of ‘O Holy Night’ I have ever heard and seen and most importantly, It does this gal and her powerful lungs justice!!!     What`s more, it makes us ever so proud of becoming a Christian!! =DD

The way she sings this timeless classic just melts my heart away. She never fails to make the hair on my back stand up. Just look at her dress and the whole music ensemble behind her. Everything from her vocal to the enthusiastic audience and the warm church setting just complements each other perfectly. Thank God for this wonderful woman who enlivens the Christmas spirit in everyone of us every time she opens her mouth.

Haha, I find this video clip featuring two of my all time favourite vocalist damn funny…LOL

See how we, the media and the people in this vast music industry always try to compare both of them. See who can hit the highest notes… Who can execute the biggest and the most powerful vocal acrobatics ever imagined possible by man (and wannabe singers) … This never ending struggle and chase for perfection and goals often leaves us with a burning desire to know what`s life is all about??? The purpose behind all these things that we thought could make us happy…

My conclusion is: Both of them are great vocalists!!! and the reason why they are always under constant scrutiny is because they are so good, so good that many envy them, and envy their God given voices and talents. Just look at Mariah and Whitney now. I love Mariah for her credibility as a performer and of course her heavenly 6-7 octaves vocal range. She was said to be THE greatest when she first released her first few albums about 10 years ago. When she sings seriously, unlike those in “touch my body”, her powerful registers never fail to mesmerize and inspire me. Whitney has a voice that is out of this world. A voice that commands respect and humility !!!!

UFOs, magic, ghosts..

I knew I had to write something fast, judging from the dropping stats…pity..I gotta write something interesting. And mind u, what I wrote below is true and it`s gonna make u ….(find out yourself)

I went back home on sunday night feeling strangely different but happy at the same time. It was that kind of “satiated” feeling you got when you know someone really loves u. It was not the first time in my life that I knew that life would be totally meaningless and emtpy without purpose. This is true. But last night the feeling was so intense that I decided to read the bible and the book that I got from the 2nd hand book sale from the church. God did not put the book there for me to “sell” to other people. (I was tending the stall last Sat and I was supposed to be selling, not buying the books for myself…haha) He wanted me to have it. And so I bought it, thinking it was just a fun and interesting book on UFO, Bermuda triangle, psychic healers, miracles, demons, aliens, magic, etc…

Before I got this book, I used to believe in UFOs, ghosts and magic. That doesn`t mean I don`t believe in God. I believe in God. But like many other people, sometimes we are led to believe that perhaps there could be another life out there, somewhere in the galaxy. It`s just a matter of time until everything could be explained and fathomed.

I know that God really wants me to believe in Him even more and He knows that I want to grow more in Him because as I began to read the book which was written by a famous magician who discovered that God is the only thing that`s real, I began to experience something quite out of the ordinary in myself. The book reveals with supporting evidence that all those incredible magic u see on TV performed by David Copperfield or someone else as great as him are all fake!! They are all achieved through natural means. Nobody on stage has the ability to levitate high up above the ground. Nobody is able to hypnotize and put a person into a trance. It was all clever and pure showmanship!!! No magic is present, but we are all fooled into believing that magic is real, talking to the dead is possible, and UFO is real!! I could tell u now with conviction that none of this is real. 

In summary, the book talks about the importance of recognizing the difference between real divine power (God` s power) and man-made magic. The book answers our burning questions such as: What are true miracles? Why are some people miraculously healed whereas others are not? Are UFOs, people communicating with the dead and magic real??

I have learnt the truth behind these things we often see on TV and in the near future I hope to be able to tell the difference between the illusions of false miracle workers and the genuine power of our LORD.

Gotta write smth right now, sunday retreat, black tuesday

Yey, Sunday was an eggciting retreat, thanks to Xue Ting and the rest that made it so happening !! of course not forgetting my shepherd and Engit2 guys that made it rawk..hehe. Went home after that, feeling satiated with both food and fellowship…WOW

 

So happy finally I could declare Monday a school holiday without feeling guilty…hehe.. but I  could see Tuesday looming like a dark cloud, an imminent danger beckoning me.

Today was totally sucks for me, was angry and sad that the comprog teacher didn`t show mercy on me despite my pitiful pleading…haha…I wonder if God would help me this one time…I only ask for a PASS!! nothing more; nuff said  Let this be a testimony to you, Lord…if only u could read my blog…see how ke lian I am…LOLLOL x100

Someone to love

Just now after work from Bugis cali, I rushed back to town to help out some of my church mates to sell books..haha..so fun. It was funny at one point when I shot at the girl in charged, “I know who you are, you`re from River valley Pri sch.” Upon hearing this, the gal became so agitated and stared at me as if I was like some psychotic lunatic. Actually the thing is, I strangely got the feeling that she was from my pri sch whereas she totally couldn`t make herself believe that I was actually her classmate in pri sch. A bit sad rite? She said I have totally changed so drastically that she couldn`t recognize that it was me.  What a small world. God is so creative that He has planted and woven us till the very intricate finish. This two weeks, I also realised that one of my California fitness colleague was also from our church!! I am now eagerly anticipating what God has already in store for me next.. maybe someone to love?? LOL

I love Whitney

Thank God on Wed I didn`t miss my freakin` last bus. I thought it had left me a few secs ago..Phew…

Did three projects this week, including 2 presentations and 3 reports…WOW

Next week I `ll still have 2 more proj waiting to assasinate me. Lord please help me..

After listening to some whitney and gospel, I feel so much better ,only to be scolded by my mum when she started to hear me shouting and singing at the top of my voice. I was like, “Mum, I am just practising to sing like Whitney”  LOL

I always feel kindda sad when that happens. Maybe my mum doesn`t like Whitney..afterall, she`s real loud and too powerfull for a girl, ya?  OR it could be that she just hates my vocal acrobatics I think the latter  would be more likely. LOL

Looking forward to Sunday`s retreat and my self-declared school holiday on Monday..

Saturday, sunday and I can`t wait till Monday is over!!On

On Sat we had a gr8 service as usual and we headed for pool after that…had fun with Pei Xin` s contact, Levine who attended service and had rounds of pool with us

The next day on Sun, while waiting for my church friends who are coming to my place for a prayer meeting, I went down before hand to make sure everything is allrite and to turn on the aircon.

Then guess who came first…Wow, so on time so more!! haha

Just around 1.15, the rest of the group came…Thank God everyone knows how to come. Maybe it`s God`s hands that led them here..hehe. Also thank Him for one thing, during the meet, no one, not a single soul dared to disturb us from the very beginning to the very end. At first I was a bit worried la, then I just prayed for God to “close” the eyes of these people, the security guard and the residents, just like the way He “closed” the hungry mouths of the lions in the story about Daniel in which he was thrown into the lion den for smth that he did. I was thinking of this story in the bible when I prayed.

Honestly, I feel glad and satisfied for being able to do something for God and my friends. Just being able to contribute a little, like helping out in smth or even providing a place for worship..Simple things like these that I can do make me feel needed and cared for… Basically, I just want to try my best to be a part of the things that would please HIM, to carry out what he has in store for me.. for His plans are wonderfull !!

So ppl, if u all need anything in the near future, like place for meetings, cg, etc…feel free to ask me , k ?

Haha, after about a week of deadness in my blog, I suddenly feel the itch to blog today!! one of the reason was, I couldn`t decide if I should move my blog to blogspot or just continue using wordpress..

I know many ppl, infact 90% of bloggers like you here are using blogspot. Perhaps this is becos of the fact that blogspot is more popular than wordpress. Thanks to my friend, Sab who intro me to wordpress…haha.I know it`s easy and stylish to use, but then come to think of it, with no chatbox, my blog is no more livelier than the cemetery at Fort Canning Park!! LOL. Of cos thanks to those of you who bother to leave some comments…I feel more encouraged now. You are the reason why I blog!! The catch is this : I am hoping someday wordpress will include a chatbox for ppl like us to use. To those C++ and java ppl out there at wordpress : C`mon guyz, what`s so difficult for computer programming experts like you to just type a few codes and bravo, you`ll make your bloggers so darn happy and eggcited ?!?!  Provide us with a chatbox, man!!! yeah!!! seriously..
