“Love seeketh not Itself to please, Nor for itself hath any care,
But for another gives it ease,
And builds a Heaven in Hell’s despair.”
” I may not get to see you as often as I like. I may not get to hold you in my arms all through the night. But deep in my heart I truly know, you’re the one that I love, and I can’t let you go.” for someone..
Love is hard and will always be, but remember somebody loves you and that one is ME !
Fishes have fins to swim,
Birds have wings to fly,
And I have you
to make me smile

i learnt tt in lit class. but that’s not the full poem, so u can’t see the true meaning of the poem.
The Clod and the Pebble
“Love seeketh not itself to please,
Nor for itself hath any care,
But for another gives its ease,
And builds a heaven in hell’s despair.”
So sung a little clod of clay,
Trodden with the cattle’s feet;
But a pebble of the brook
Warbled out these meters meet:
“Love seeketh only Self to please,
To bind another to its delight,
Joys in another’s loss of ease,
And builds a hell in heaven’s despite.”
two differing views on love using similar words.
